London, England, United Kingdom, June 2026 — Canopius Group has announced the appointment of Steve Parry as Group Chief Claims Officer, effective August 2026. The appointment strengthens the company’s global claims leadership as Canopius continues to enhance its claims capability across its specialty and property and casualty reinsurance operations.
Steve brings extensive global experience in leading complex, multi-territory claims operations, along with a strong track record in transformation governance and operating model change. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Canopius Group’s claims strategy and strengthening the claims function to support sustainable long-term growth.

Prior to joining Canopius Group, Steve served as Group Claims Director at Hiscox, where he led claims operations and contributed to strengthening the company’s claims leadership and operational effectiveness.
Earlier, he was associated with AIG as Global Head of Technical Claims, where he gained significant experience in technical claims leadership, claims governance, and global claims operations.
With deep expertise across claims management, insurance operations, governance, and transformation, Steve is well positioned to lead Canopius Group’s claims function through its next phase of growth and operational excellence.
