Nashville, Tennessee, United States, January 2025 – Carey Elzey has been appointed as Chief People Officer and SVP, Colleague Success at Clearwater. In her new role, Carey will lead the organization’s human resources strategy, talent development, and culture initiatives, with a focus on enhancing colleague success and fostering a dynamic workplace environment.
Prior to her promotion, Carey served as Vice President, Colleague Success at Clearwater for two years. During this time, she played a pivotal role in advancing HR strategies and colleague engagement, contributing significantly to the company’s mission of strengthening healthcare organizations.

Before joining Clearwater, Carey was Head of People & Culture at Velocity Risk Underwriters, LLC, where she spent three years driving talent acquisition, cultural transformation, and HR process improvements in the insurance sector. Her leadership helped the organization cultivate a collaborative and results-driven workforce.
Earlier, Carey served as Mid-South Human Resources Leader at HUB International for six years, managing HR operations and providing strategic guidance for the firm’s regional offices. Her initiatives led to improved talent retention and enhanced employee satisfaction.
Carey also held the role of Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at American Health Partners, Inc., where she spent over eight years developing programs that aligned workforce goals with organizational objectives. Her tenure demonstrated her commitment to nurturing talent and fostering professional growth.
