ROTTERDAM, NETHERLANDS, June 2026 — Centrient Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of Genevieve Machin (Gen) as its new Chief People and Transformation Officer, reinforcing the company’s commitment to building a high-performance culture while advancing strategic transformation initiatives across its global operations.
In her new role, Genevieve will lead Centrient’s global people strategy and human resources function while driving enterprise-wide transformation programs designed to improve organizational performance, productivity, and long-term sustainable growth. Her responsibilities spanned talent acquisition, talent management, diversity, equity and inclusion, workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational design, health services, and large-scale change management programs.
Prior to NSPA, she held senior leadership positions with Gates Corporation, serving as Vice President Human Resources EMEA and Senior Director Human Resources EMEA. She led initiatives across diversity and inclusion, employee engagement, HR technology transformation, talent management, compensation, workforce planning, and organizational development while serving as a member of the executive management team.
She also spent more than four years with PolyOne, where she held leadership roles including Director Human Resources EMEA and India and Associate Director Human Resources (EMEA and India). During this period, she led regional HR operations across multiple countries, supported business transformation initiatives, managed labor relations, negotiated collective agreements, and implemented leadership development and talent programs designed to strengthen organizational capability.
Her earlier career included senior human resources and total rewards leadership positions with Husky Injection Molding Systems, NAV CANADA, Bank of Montreal, Toronto Stock Exchange, and Nortel Networks, where she developed extensive expertise across compensation and benefits, workforce analytics, organizational design, talent management, leadership development, labor relations, employee engagement, and HR transformation.
Over a career spanning more than twenty-five years, Genevieve has built a reputation for successfully leading people and transformation agendas within complex multinational organizations. Her expertise spans talent development, organizational design, reward strategy, workforce planning, performance management, leadership capability building, change management, HR technology implementation, and large-scale business transformation. She is Prosci-certified in Change Management, PRINCE2 Agile certified, and brings significant international experience across Europe and North America.
Her appointment comes at a strategically important time for Centrient Pharmaceuticals as the company continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in sustainable antibiotics, statins, anti-fungals, and pharmaceutical ingredients.
