Cambridge, United Kingdom – November 2024 – Charlotte Eaton has been appointed as the new Chief People Officer (CPO) at Arm. Reporting directly to CEO Rene Haas, Charlotte will lead Arm’s global people organization, succeeding Kirsty Gill, who will continue in an advisory capacity before retiring. Charlotte’s extensive background in guiding people strategies and driving organizational growth and transformation uniquely positions her to steer Arm through its next phase.
Prior to joining Arm, Charlotte served as Chief People Officer at OVO, where she was instrumental in shaping the company’s people, property, and customer experience strategies. During her tenure of nearly four and a half years, she led initiatives aimed at building a purpose-driven workplace culture aligned with OVO’s sustainability goals under its Plan Zero strategy.
Charlotte also held various leadership roles at Arm itself, including VP of People and Senior Director for Organisational Effectiveness, M&A, Systems, and D&I. Over approximately four years, she was pivotal in designing Arm’s progressive organizational structure and advancing the company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives. Her contributions included crafting the Arm people strategy, implementing flexible working policies, and managing the people aspect of Arm’s acquisition by SoftBank.
Her earlier career includes roles at The Kraft Heinz Company, where she served as HR Director for the European Supply Chain. In this role, she led a team across Europe and managed significant restructuring efforts during a transitional period post-acquisition. She also contributed to merger integration and talent development initiatives, emphasizing operational efficiency.
Charlotte’s journey in HR leadership began with Barclays, where she progressed through multiple HR roles, including as an HR Business Partner and HR Programme Manager. Her time at Barclays provided her with a solid foundation in change management and continuous improvement, experiences that have greatly influenced her approach to HR.
