Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 – ThinkinkPicturez Ltd., one of India’s fast-emerging entertainment houses, has announced the appointment of Mr. Chetan Chauhan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The appointment comes at a strategic time as the company sets its sights on an ambitious expansion into regional cinema and high-value content creation across India. With nearly 29 years of experience in the media and entertainment sectors, Mr. Chauhan is well-positioned to steer the company into its next phase of growth.
Mr. Chauhan has held senior leadership roles at The Times of India Group (BCCL), Mid-Day, Reliance, and Pantaloons, contributing significantly to media strategy and operations. In addition to his corporate experience, he is a key figure in the Gujarati film industry, having worked as a publicist for over 70 regional films, including India’s official Oscar entry, Last Film Show by Pan Nalin. He is also a visiting faculty at various Gujarat-based mass media institutes, where he teaches Public Relations and Media Studies.
With a strong network and influence in regional cinema, Mr. Chauhan’s leadership is expected to bring transformative alliances and business opportunities to ThinkinkPicturez Ltd. His appointment is viewed as a pivotal step in advancing the company’s mission of championing regional storytelling, inclusive narratives, and talent development in India’s dynamic entertainment ecosystem.
The company is currently developing a content slate worth over ₹500 crore, with plans to produce films in Gujarati, Marathi, and other Indian languages. It also intends to support emerging artists and filmmakers, particularly in smaller towns and underrepresented communities, including a focus on children’s cinema, a genre often neglected by mainstream producers.
Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Chetan Chauhan said: “India is poised to become a global hub for entertainment ideation and production, especially with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolutionizing storytelling. At ThinkinkPicturez, we are aligning with this transformation, focusing on small-town narratives and authentic storytelling. Our aim is to unlock fresh talent and produce cinema that is both meaningful and mass-relevant. I am honored to lead ThinkinkPicturez at such an exciting time and look forward to shaping the future of regional entertainment.”
The company is also working to re-evaluate six previously announced Hindi feature films, assessing their feasibility for activation, while simultaneously initiating talks with the Government of Gujarat to foster employment and economic development through creative projects.
With a visionary new CEO, a rich pipeline of content, and a renewed focus on regional engagement, ThinkinkPicturez Ltd is poised to become a key player in shaping the future of Indian entertainment.
