Before ascending to the role of GCOO, Govender led Altron Karabina as its Managing Director, where he spearheaded a transformative journey that resulted in substantial growth and operational excellence. Following his success at Altron Karabina, Govender took the helm at Altron Systems Integration, where he continued to exhibit an exceptional synergy between passion and purpose, leading to remarkable growth and deepened relationships across the board.

Govender’s vast experience within Altron includes roles such as Group CIO and Group Executive of Shared Services, where he executed the OneAltron strategy to drive cohesiveness and standardization across platforms, significantly transforming the group’s IT and shared services landscapes. His accomplishments include rationalizing multiple CRM and ERP systems, driving data center transformation, and leveraging technology to achieve substantial cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Prior to his tenure at Altron, Govender held significant positions at T-Systems South Africa, including Vice President of Sales and Service Management and Vice President of Human Resources. His leadership in these roles was marked by driving substantial revenue targets, enhancing customer satisfaction, and spearheading strategic HR initiatives that positioned the HR team as a key strategic business partner.
