Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — Compass Group India has appointed Rahul Shinde as its Managing Director, bringing on board a seasoned global business leader with extensive experience across India, Asia, Europe, and the United States.
In his new role, Rahul will lead Compass Group India’s strategic growth agenda, business operations, customer experience, and market expansion initiatives. His appointment comes as the company continues to strengthen its leadership team and accelerate its presence in India’s rapidly evolving food services and support services sector.
Rahul brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning the quick-service restaurant, consumer, retail, consulting, and strategy domains. Prior to joining Compass Group India, he founded Home Kouzina Private Limited, an entrepreneurial venture focused on the food and consumer space.
Earlier, he served as Chief Executive Officer – Yum Brands and Whole-time Director at Devyani International Limited, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth across some of India’s largest quick-service restaurant brands. During his tenure, he led business transformation initiatives, strengthened organizational capabilities, and supported the continued expansion of the company’s restaurant network.
Before that, Rahul was General Manager, KFC Greater Asia at KFC Asia LLC, based in Singapore. In this role, he oversaw several major Asian markets, including Japan, Indonesia, Korea, Myanmar, and Mongolia, while also serving as a key liaison with KFC China. He led strategic growth plans, organizational transformation initiatives, and business continuity efforts during the pandemic period.
His earlier leadership journey within the Yum ecosystem included serving as Executive Director at Devyani International Limited, Chief Financial Officer at Taco Bell Global, and Managing Director, KFC Indian Subcontinent, where he spearheaded the brand’s turnaround and accelerated growth across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. He also held international leadership roles including Chief Operations Excellence Officer, KFC Great Britain, and Director – Corporate Strategic Planning at Yum Restaurants International in the United States.
Prior to Yum Brands, Rahul held strategy leadership positions at JCPenney and McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading global consumer businesses on growth strategy, operational excellence, supply chain transformation, and business expansion initiatives.
Rahul began his professional career as a research scholar at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where his doctoral research focused on inventory management and large-scale supply chain optimization.
His appointment reflects Compass Group India’s commitment to strengthening leadership capabilities and driving sustainable growth through operational excellence, innovation, and customer-centric service delivery.
