San Francisco, California, United States, May 2025 – Cookie Wiese has joined Thatch as the new Head of People, where she will lead the company’s people strategy, organizational development, and employee experience as the company continues to scale its mission of transforming employee healthcare.
Cookie brings nearly two decades of progressive experience across HR operations, employee relations, and people leadership in high-growth, mission-driven tech companies. Prior to joining Thatch, she served as People Operations Lead at Paradigm, where she helped design and scale HR infrastructure while championing operational excellence and employee well-being.
Before Paradigm, Cookie held multiple senior roles over a 4.5-year tenure at Brex, including People Partner Manager, Head of Employee Relations, and Head of People Operations, where she drove culture initiatives, compliance frameworks, and team effectiveness across a remote-first global organization. Her work at Brex was instrumental in developing scalable people operations during periods of rapid growth and organizational change.
Earlier, she served as a People Business Partner at Thumbtack, and spent over three years at Fitbit, where she contributed in roles including Learning and Development Consultant, HR Generalist, and HR Coordinator. Cookie’s early HR experience included leadership roles at CAC Real Estate, as well as a foundation in counseling and therapy, giving her a uniquely empathetic lens as a people leader.
