St. Louis, Missouri, United States, March 2025 – 8th Avenue Food & Provisions has announced the promotion of Damone Brown to Vice President – Human Resources. In his new role, Damone will oversee human resources strategy, talent acquisition, organizational effectiveness, and leadership development, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals.
Damone has been with 8th Avenue Food & Provisions for over four years, most recently serving as Senior Director, Human Resources. During this time, he played a pivotal role in compensation planning, performance management, employee engagement, and HR strategy. His leadership has been instrumental in driving business growth through talent acquisition and workforce planning.
Before joining 8th Avenue, Damone held key HR leadership roles at Ascend Wellness Holdings, where he served as Director, Human Resources – Retail (National) and HR Business Partner – Retail (IL/OH). There, he was responsible for organizational effectiveness, hiring practices, and HR strategy across multiple locations.
Earlier in his career, Damone was Director, Human Resources – North America at Handicare North America, leading talent acquisition, change management, and workforce planning initiatives. His experience also includes HR business partner roles at Oasis Outsourcing and HR leadership positions at Aerotek and PBL, Inc., where he specialized in benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.
