Beaverton, Oregon, United States, June 2026 — Nike has announced the appointment of Dave Denton as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 2026.
Denton joins Nike with more than three decades of finance leadership experience across some of the world’s most recognized consumer, healthcare, and retail organizations. In his new role, he will lead Nike’s global finance organization, overseeing financial strategy, capital allocation, business performance, governance, and long-term value creation as the company continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in sportswear and innovation.
Commenting on his appointment, Denton said that he has long admired Nike for its iconic brand, relentless commitment to innovation, and its ability to inspire athletes and communities worldwide through the power of sport.
Denton currently serves as Chief Financial Officer at Pfizer, a position he has held since May 2022. During his tenure, he has been responsible for the company’s global financial operations, strategic planning, capital management, and performance optimization across one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical organizations.
Before joining Pfizer, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President at Lowe’s Companies, where he played a key role in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic growth initiatives for one of North America’s largest home improvement retailers.
Earlier in his career, Denton spent nearly two decades at CVS Health, serving as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President, helping guide the company through significant expansion, transformation, and value creation initiatives. He began his professional journey with Deloitte & Touche, where he held senior finance and advisory responsibilities.
With extensive expertise spanning corporate finance, strategic planning, investor relations, business transformation, operational excellence, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise growth, Denton brings a wealth of experience to Nike as the company continues to advance its innovation agenda and global growth strategy.
His appointment reinforces Nike’s commitment to disciplined financial leadership and long-term value creation while continuing to deliver innovation, performance, and impact for athletes and consumers around the world.
