Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, February 2025 – Deborah Grace has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at VetPartners Australia and New Zealand, where she will lead the People & Culture function for the region’s largest veterinary services provider. With over 270 clinics and specialty hospitals, VetPartners is dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care, and Deborah’s leadership will focus on enhancing employee engagement, organizational transformation, and leadership development.
Before joining VetPartners, Deborah co-founded and led Grace, Smith & Company, a consultancy specializing in organizational transformation, leadership, and customer value strategy. In this capacity, she took on key assignments, including serving as Interim Chief People Officer at a Macquarie Asset Management industrial asset and leading an organizational design project at OET.
Earlier, she spent nearly five years at GenesisCare, where she held multiple senior HR leadership roles. As Chief of Staff to the Global CEO, she played a pivotal role in strategic HR leadership and transformation initiatives. Prior to that, as Senior Vice President, People & Culture, Strategy & Global Functions, she spearheaded HR transformation, compensation & benefits strategy, global mobility, and HR systems optimization. Additionally, as Senior Vice President, Global Head of People & Culture Services, she was instrumental in driving HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee relations to support GenesisCare’s mission of exceptional patient care.
With an extensive career spanning HR leadership roles at Laing O’Rourke, Charter Hall, News Corp Australia, PerformHR, and Bupa, Deborah brings a deep understanding of HR strategy, multi-site operations, leadership development, and workforce transformation. Her wealth of experience in both corporate and consulting HR leadership will be instrumental in enhancing VetPartners’ people strategy and workplace culture.
