Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, January 2025 – Diana Ortisi has stepped into the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Victoria University. With a wealth of experience in finance and strategic leadership, Diana will oversee the university’s financial operations, ensuring robust fiscal management and supporting the institution’s mission of delivering accessible, innovative, and high-quality education.
Diana has been with Victoria University since July 2022, serving as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she provided strategic financial guidance and operational oversight, contributing to the university’s long-term growth and financial sustainability.

Prior to joining Victoria University, Diana held the position of Director Finance Business Partnering – Transport Services at the Department of Transport for over two years, where she was instrumental in driving financial strategies to support transportation initiatives across the region.
Her earlier career includes roles as Manager Finance Business Partners at VicRoads and Austin Health, where she led financial planning, budgeting, and business partnering functions, ensuring fiscal alignment with organizational goals.
Diana began her career in financial analysis and management, holding key positions at Qantas, Foster’s Group, and BP, where she gained extensive experience in financial operations, business analytics, and strategic planning.
