Angul, Odisha, India, November 2024 – Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has announced the appointment of Dilip Sinha as President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for its Angul operations, effective 18th November 2024. With an impressive career spanning over 28 years in human resources, Mr. Sinha will play a pivotal role in driving JSPL’s HR transformation, fostering a high-performance culture, and supporting the company’s growth strategy.
Mr. Sinha brings extensive leadership experience across manufacturing, retail, mining, and energy sectors. Most recently, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Vedanta Aluminium, where he managed HR functions across aluminium, power, ports, and mining divisions, spearheading key initiatives in organizational development and culture building.
This marks a return to the Jindal Group, as Mr. Sinha previously served as Senior Vice President & Head – Human Resources at JSW Steel’s Dolvi operations from 2019 to 2022, where he implemented transformative HR strategies.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Sinha held significant HR leadership roles at Reliance Retail, Sumaria Group in Africa, and Rajan Raheja Group, where he contributed to strategic HR planning, talent development, and organizational restructuring.
He is widely recognized for his expertise in transformation management, HR technology, and building inclusive work cultures. A certified OKR Coach, Mr. Sinha was also named among the “Top 100 Most Talented CHROs in Asia.”
Mr. Sinha holds an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Social Science and completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies in History at St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. His thesis, Economic Situation of a Nation as a Function of Tele-Communication Growth, underscores his analytical approach to socioeconomic issues.
