Dubai, United Arab Emirates, February 2026 — DP World has appointed Mark Shafik as Regional Human Resources Director, effective February 2026.
In this regional leadership role, Shafik will oversee HR strategy and operations across key markets, partnering with business leaders to strengthen workforce planning, organizational development, talent strategy, and culture transformation initiatives aligned with DP World’s integrated global supply chain operations.
Prior to joining DP World, Shafik served as Head of Human Resources – MENA at Floranow, where he led strategic HR initiatives during a period of expansion and transformation. He played a critical role in M&A change management, implemented diversity and inclusion strategies, introduced advanced HRIS systems, streamlined talent acquisition processes, and led succession planning frameworks to ensure leadership continuity. His initiatives significantly enhanced employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational performance.
Earlier, he was Head of Human Resources – MENA at S Productions, where he built the HR function from the ground up, implemented digital HR services, optimized workforce utilization to reduce operating expenses, and secured ISO certifications to strengthen operational excellence.
Shafik also held senior HR leadership roles at Chef Middle East, BRF, and Conrad Dubai, building strong expertise across talent management, HR strategy, compliance, performance management, learning & development, and regional workforce optimization across the GCC and MENAT regions.
With extensive experience in driving high-performance cultures, digital HR transformation, M&A integration, and regional HR governance, Shafik brings a strong strategic HR leadership profile to DP World.
