Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Dr. Alok Prakash has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ballarpur Industries Limited (BILT), a part of the Finquest Group. Dr. Prakash, with over 28 years of extensive leadership experience in the paper and textile industries, brings a proven track record in strategic growth initiatives, financial turnarounds, operational excellence, and market expansion. At BILT, Dr. Prakash will be responsible for steering the company’s strategic growth, optimizing operations, and reinforcing BILT’s market position as a leader in the paper manufacturing sector.
Before joining BILT, Dr. Alok Prakash served as Chief Executive Officer at Shah Paper Mills Limited, where he successfully led the production and market expansion of eco-friendly paper products, delivering strong growth and profitability.
Earlier, he was CEO at Camerich Papers Pvt Ltd, where he focused on improving market reach and strengthening brand value in the competitive paper manufacturing space.
He also held the role of Chief Sales Officer at Century Pulp and Paper (B.K. Birla Group), where he drove revenue growth, product innovation, and market share expansion. Prior to that, as Head of Marketing at SHREYANS INDUSTRIES LIMITED, he led strategic product diversification efforts.
Previously, Dr. Prakash served as Associate Vice President (Marketing) at International Paper – APPM, following earlier leadership roles at Trident Group India and Ginni Filaments Ltd. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra.
