Based in Bengaluru, she will be responsible for driving growth initiatives, strengthening client relationships, and accelerating business expansion across the Indian market. Bringing more than 18 years of professional experience, including nearly a decade in the insurance industry, Dr. Sharma is widely recognized for her people-centric leadership style, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong focus on customer engagement.
Prior to joining Howden, Dr. Deepti Sharma served as Vice President – Sales at Prudent Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., where she played a key role in expanding the company’s sales capabilities and strengthening client partnerships. She was previously promoted to Assistant Vice President – Sales, reflecting her strong contribution to business development and revenue growth. Her leadership across sales strategy, relationship management, and market expansion helped reinforce Prudent’s position within India’s insurance broking sector.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Sharma worked with Marsh as Assistant Vice President, further strengthening her expertise in insurance advisory and corporate risk solutions. She also held leadership positions at MediBuddy, serving as Assistant Vice President and Senior Sales Manager, where she contributed to healthcare business growth, strategic partnerships, and commercial expansion. Her ability to build high-performing teams and foster long-term customer relationships has remained a defining strength throughout her professional journey.
Before transitioning into the insurance and healthcare sectors, Dr. Sharma demonstrated her entrepreneurial capabilities as Founder & Director of My Family Dentist, where she successfully established and managed a chain of multi-specialty dental clinics from inception. Earlier, she served as Head Dentist & Consultant Periodontist at Sabka Dentist, leading clinical operations, mentoring healthcare professionals, and achieving rapid operational success. She began her professional career as a Dental Surgeon at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, building a strong foundation in clinical excellence before expanding into business leadership.
Dr. Sharma has further strengthened her leadership credentials through the Executive General Management Programme (EGMP 55) in Business Administration and Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore). Combining clinical expertise, entrepreneurial success, and extensive commercial leadership experience, she is well positioned to support Howden’s continued growth and deepen client engagement across India’s rapidly evolving insurance market.
