Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Nestlé India has appointed Jaikishan Gianani as Head – Procurement, South Asia Region, effective August 1, 2026. In his expanded leadership role, Gianani will oversee strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships and procurement resilience, supporting Nestlé’s operations and growth across the South Asia region.
Gianani brings around 18 years of professional experience, including more than 14 years with Nestlé, spanning procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, commodities, sustainable packaging, manufacturing supply chains and risk management. Prior to his latest appointment, he served as Head – Procurement, Agri Commodities & Food Ingredients, leading a team managing approximately USD 600 million in spend across categories including cereals and grains, sugar, coffee, edible oils and fats, dairy, cocoa, chicory and other ingredients. His mandate included cost optimization, working-capital improvement, supplier-base expansion and responsible sourcing.
During his long tenure at Nestlé, Gianani has undertaken a diverse range of leadership assignments. He previously served as Head – Projects, Supply Chain & Procurement, contributing to the South Asia market’s supply-chain strategy, and as Head – Supply Chain for the Nanjangud and Choladi factories, overseeing planning, warehousing, logistics and co-manufacturing activities. Earlier, as Head – Packaging Procurement and Lead – Sustainable Packaging, South Asia Region, he managed major packaging spend categories while driving initiatives around recyclable and reusable packaging, plastic reduction and sustainability.
His international experience includes serving as Global Procurement Manager – Commodities, Palm Oil, based in Kuala Lumpur, where he managed procurement covering Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Oceania, including contracts supporting factories across multiple countries. Earlier, as Procurement Manager – Commodities & Raw Materials, he handled categories including oils and fats, coffee, chicory and tea while contributing to supply-risk mitigation, cost efficiencies, vendor development and working-capital optimization.
Gianani joined Nestlé in 2012 as a Management Trainee – Supply Chain after completing his MBA from SPJIMR, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. Before entering management, he worked as an Electrical Engineer at Indian Oil Corporation Limited, supporting testing and commissioning activities for electrical equipment at the Panipat Naphtha Cracker Project. His progression from supply-chain management trainee to regional procurement head reflects extensive exposure across sourcing, operations, sustainability and end-to-end supply-chain leadership.
