Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2024 – Yasho Industries Limited, a leader in the production of specialty chemicals, has announced the appointment of Dr. R Suresh Kumar as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In his new role, Dr. Suresh Kumar will oversee the company’s HR strategy, aligning it with business growth and ensuring effective talent management as Yasho Industries continues its expansion in the specialty chemicals sector.
Before joining Yasho Industries Limited, Dr. Kumar served as a Principal Consultant at External Consultants for approximately two years. In this role, he played a key part in business strategy and HR consulting, helping organizations restructure and realign their human resources functions for improved efficiency and performance.
Prior to that, Dr. Kumar was the Executive President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Polycab India Limited for nearly three years. During his time at Polycab, he was responsible for HR strategy and business operations, leading the transformation of HR practices to support the company’s long-term objectives.
Dr. Kumar also held the position of Senior Vice President – Human Resources at Mafatlal Industries Limited for approximately five years. Here, he successfully managed HR operations across multiple business units, leading efforts in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and organizational development.
Before his tenure at Mafatlal, Dr. Kumar served as the Vice President & Group Head – Human Resources at Polycab Wires Pvt. Ltd. for nearly two years, where he was responsible for managing HR strategies for both Indian and global operations, ensuring the alignment of HR systems and business goals across different geographies.
In addition to these key roles, Dr. Kumar has held other prominent positions throughout his career. He was the Head of HR for ACG Worldwide, managing HR functions across India and Europe. He also gained valuable experience working at Hindustan Lever Limited and J.K. Industries Ltd., where he developed his expertise in HR management, employee relations, and organizational development, marking the beginning of his distinguished career in HR.
