Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2024 – Dr. Sayed Peerzade has taken on the role of Executive Vice President – Cloud at Jio Platforms Limited (JPL). In his new position, Dr. Peerzade will be responsible for driving innovation within the cloud and AI domains, with a focus on enhancing Jio’s existing products and creating advanced solutions to set new industry standards. His leadership will guide JPL’s strategic go-to-market initiatives for cloud services, optimize presales channels, and support the company’s broader digital transformation goals.
Prior to joining Jio Platforms Limited, Dr. Peerzade served as Chief Cloud Officer and Head of Special Initiatives at Yotta Data Services Private Limited for over three years. During his tenure, he led key projects, including the development of India’s first hyperscale public cloud, Yantraa, and Shakti AI Cloud, which ranks among the top 10 AI clusters globally. He was responsible for managing the Cloud Business Unit, overseeing the full P&L, and developing government strategies for cloud services.
Before Yotta, Dr. Peerzade held leadership roles at Reliance Entertainment for nearly 14 years, where he progressed from General Manager – NOC to Group Chief Information Officer. His tenure was marked by transformative initiatives, such as launching Reliance Games and WWO, a social media marketing agency. His leadership in digital transformations helped create new revenue streams for the group, particularly in OTT, gaming, and e-commerce platforms.
Dr. Peerzade began his career at Hathway Cable & Datacom Ltd as a Manager of Systems. Over five years, he played a key role in establishing Internet Data Centers and Network Operations Centers across India, setting new standards in the ISP ecosystem and network monitoring systems.
