Pune, Maharashtra, India, August 2024 — Exide Industries Limited has announced the promotion of Edmund D’Silva to the position of Vertical HR Head PAN India. In his new role, Edmund will be responsible for executing all HR practices across the company’s nine manufacturing locations in India, covering areas such as Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management Systems (PMS), Productivity, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Health Execution. His vertical includes Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, SCM, Project, EHS, and TQM.
Prior to his new role, Edmund served as Cluster Head HR at Exide Industries Limited for six years, where he was responsible for HR operations at the Chinchwad, Ahmednagar, and Shamnagar locations.
Before joining Exide Industries, Edmund was the GM HR at Mubea in Pune, where he oversaw corporate and plant HR functions for over five years. His leadership contributed to strengthening HR processes and improving employee relations.
Earlier in his career, Edmund held the role of Head HR & IR at Raymond Zambaiti Ltd. in Kolhapur for more than three years, where he managed HR, IR, and administrative functions.
Edmund’s extensive HR experience also includes leadership positions at Haldex in Nasik, where he served as Head HR, and at Astral Glass Pvt. Ltd. in Igatpuri, Nasik, where he worked as Manager HR for over six years.
