Philippines, September 2024 – Eillen Lopez has been appointed as the new Head of Human Resources at MERALCO PowerGen Corporation (MGen). In this role, Eillen will oversee all HR functions, focusing on strategic human resource planning, talent management, and organizational development. Her extensive experience in human resources across various sectors will be instrumental in supporting MGen’s ambitious goals in power generation and renewable energy.
Career Journey: Eillen Lopez has recently started her tenure as the Head of Human Resources at MERALCO PowerGen Corporation. Prior to this, she was with Sun Life for nearly 11 years, serving most recently as the Head of Human Resources and Communications. In this role, she led the HR and communications strategy for the company, contributing significantly to its HR operations.
Before her time at Sun Life, Eillen was the Head of Talent Management and Organization Development at Sun Life, where she worked for approximately 5 years, focusing on talent management strategies and organizational development initiatives.
Earlier, she held the position of Head of Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS at Sun Life for 4 years, where she was responsible for managing compensation structures and HR information systems.
Eillen’s previous experience includes serving as the Group Compensation, Benefits & HRIS Lead at L’Oréal for nearly 3 years. There, she was responsible for overseeing compensation and benefits strategies across the region.
Prior to L’Oréal, Eillen worked at GSK as an HR Manager, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS / HR Business Partner for over 3 years, managing HR functions and supporting business needs.
Eillen’s career began at Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines as a Compensation Specialist, where she worked for about a year. She also served as an HR Business Partner at San Miguel Corporation for nearly 3 years and as a Compensation Analyst at Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines for 10 months.
