Milan, Italy, May 2026 – Elena Anfosso has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Campari Group and will join the company’s Executive Team effective July 2026. Her appointment reinforces Campari Group’s commitment to strengthening its people strategy, leadership capabilities, organizational culture, and global talent agenda as it continues its international growth journey.
Elena brings more than two decades of cross-functional and global leadership experience spanning human resources, business transformation, commercial operations, marketing, organizational development, and leadership effectiveness. Her extensive international background and proven track record in leading large-scale transformation initiatives make her a strong addition to Campari Group’s senior leadership team.
Most recently, Elena served as Global HR Lead – Transformation at BAT, where she led enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across the global organization. Prior to this role, she served as Regional HR Director – Europe & Americas and Regional HR Director – Europe, driving strategic people initiatives across multiple markets and supporting business transformation, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and workforce modernization. Earlier, as HR & Inclusion Director – South Europe, she played a key role in advancing diversity, inclusion, employee engagement, and organizational culture initiatives across the region.
Before joining BAT, Elena spent more than three years with GSK Consumer Healthcare, where she held senior HR leadership roles including HR Director – Italy, Greece & Israel. In this position, she partnered closely with business leadership teams to drive culture transformation focused on innovation, performance, engagement, and trust. She also championed inclusion and diversity initiatives, digital transformation programs, employee development strategies, and simplification projects across the organization. Earlier, she served as Integration Manager during the integration of GSK and Novartis Consumer Health operations, leading cross-functional transformation efforts across HR, IT, supply chain, finance, and regulatory functions.
A significant portion of Elena’s career was spent with Novartis Consumer Health, where she held several commercial and leadership positions over more than a decade. Her roles included Head of Field Account Pharmacy Sales, European Category Marketing Head, South East Europe Marketing Manager, Group Brand Manager, and Senior Brand Manager. During this period, she led regional marketing operations across Europe, managed multi-country business portfolios, drove category growth strategies, supported mergers and acquisitions activities, and built strong expertise in business transformation, customer engagement, and commercial leadership.
Earlier in her career, Elena spent five years with SC Johnson, progressing through marketing and sales leadership roles including Brand Manager, Sales Budgeting Coordinator, Category Analyst, and Assistant Brand Manager. These experiences helped build a strong commercial and operational foundation that later enabled her success in business and HR transformation leadership. She began her professional journey as a Buyer with Auchan, gaining valuable experience in procurement, negotiations, commercial planning, and retail operations.
Elena also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership Capability from Glasgow Caledonian University, complementing her extensive international leadership experience across Europe and global markets. Her unique combination of HR transformation expertise, commercial acumen, and international leadership capability positions her strongly to support Campari Group’s future growth and talent ambitions.
