Saudi Arabia, February 2026 — Elias Merrawe has started a new position as Chief Growth Officer & Chief Digital Consulting Officer at aramco digital, where he will lead growth strategy and digital consulting initiatives to support large-scale digital transformation across industrial and critical sectors.
Prior to joining aramco digital, Elias Merrawe spent over eight years with Thales, most recently serving as Group Vice President for Africa, Middle East & Western Asia Civil Business. During his tenure, he held multiple senior leadership roles overseeing civil business operations across the Middle East, driving regional expansion, project execution excellence, and strategic business development in complex, high-value environments.
Earlier, he built an extensive career spanning nearly two decades at Bombardier, where he led major global aviation programs including the Riyadh Metro project and new aircraft development initiatives. His leadership covered large cross-functional teams responsible for program governance, engineering coordination, supply chain integration, and customer delivery in high-stakes aerospace projects.
In addition to his executive roles, Elias Merrawe has contributed to the broader innovation ecosystem as Chairman and Advisory Board Member at AviationXLab and as an Advisory Board Member at Khalifa University, supporting industry-academia collaboration and emerging technology initiatives.
