London, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Elli Michaelides has been elevated to the role of Chief People Officer at Vanquis, marking a significant milestone in her nearly two-decade-long HR leadership career across the UK banking and financial services sector. In her new role, Elli will lead Vanquis’ people strategy, organizational development, and talent transformation initiatives, reinforcing the company’s commitment to responsible lending and inclusive growth.
Before her promotion, Elli served as People Director at Vanquis, where she provided strategic leadership during a period of organizational transition. Prior to that, she was Head of People Business Partnering and Change, a role in which she steered culture-shaping programs and change management processes that supported Vanquis’ evolving employee value proposition.
Elli joined Vanquis Banking Group from Provident Financial Group, where she served as Head of HR for Provident HC & Satsuma. She was earlier entrusted with the role of Senior HR Business Partner for Corporate HR and Projects at Provident Financial PLC, offering enterprise-wide HR solutions and project delivery across functions.
Before her tenure at Provident, Elli spent nearly seven years at TSB Bank, where she led strategic HR initiatives as Senior Talent Partner and previously as HR Business Partner for digital, product, and marketing divisions. Her earlier experience includes a robust stint of over six years at Lloyds Banking Group, where she held several HR leadership roles supporting retail banking, branch networks, and customer portfolios.
