Karāchi, Sindh, Pakistan, August 2024 – Essa J. Allawala has begun his new role as Group Head Human Resources at Saeed Ghani, where he will lead the HR strategy and operations across the organization. With a robust background in human resources and organizational development, Essa is set to enhance the HR functions and drive strategic initiatives to support the company’s growth and success.
Prior to joining Saeed Ghani, Essa served as the Head of Human Resources at SPAR Pakistan and Burque Africa for approximately 2 years and 3 months. During his tenure, he led various HR initiatives, including employee engagement surveys, compensation and benefits analysis, and the launch of a customized performance management system. His leadership in HR business partnering functions significantly improved internal placements and reduced hiring turnaround times.
Essa also held the position of Head of Talent and OD at Burque for about 3 years and 3 months. In this role, he launched and led several key HR initiatives, such as succession planning, assessment centers for managerial hiring, and a 360-degree feedback system for top and middle management.
Before his roles at SPAR Pakistan and Burque, Essa was the CSO at Training Impact Limited for 2 years, where he honed his skills in interpersonal communication, talent management, and organizational development.
Essa’s experience also includes a stint as Director of Human Resources at Zameen.com, where he built the HR department from scratch and significantly reduced the attrition rate while contributing to the company’s rapid growth.
Earlier in his career, Essa worked at Multinet Pakistan (Private) Limited for over 5 years, where he held roles such as Group General Manager Human Resources and Senior Manager Training and OD. His leadership in change management processes and talent retention strategies was instrumental in enhancing employee engagement and organizational culture.
