Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, February 2026 – Essam M. Alkhatlan has started a new position as Senior Vice President Human Resources, KSA & Bahrain at Marsh. In this expanded leadership role, he will oversee HR strategy and people agenda across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, strengthening organizational capability, performance culture, and strategic workforce alignment within the region.
Essam has been part of Marsh for nearly three years, most recently serving as Vice President Human Resources, KSA & Bahrain, where he led HR operations and talent strategy across both markets. During his tenure, he also took on the role of Member of the Board of Directors in Bahrain, reflecting his growing influence in regional leadership and governance.
Prior to joining Marsh, Essam spent over five years at EY as a Human Resources Business Partner, leading HR strategy implementation focused on building a high-performance culture centered on empowerment, productivity, and continuous workforce development. Earlier, he served at Philips as Human Resources and Head of Talent Acquisition, Middle East & Turkey, driving talent acquisition and HR initiatives across multiple markets.
He also held HR leadership roles at Dur Hospitality and Almarai, building foundational expertise in HR operations, workforce planning, and talent management. His early career began at the Ministry of Interior – KSA, where he worked as a Translator, marking the beginning of a professional journey that evolved into senior HR leadership across global organizations.
