FedEx Appoints Rumana Rahman as Vice President, Human Resources APAC & MEISA

Singapore, Singapore, June 2026 — FedEx has appointed Rumana Rahman as Vice President, Human Resources APAC & MEISA. The appointment underscores the company’s focus on strengthening people leadership and advancing talent, culture, employee engagement, and workforce development initiatives across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, India, and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.

In her new role, Rumana will lead the human resources agenda across APAC and MEISA, supporting organizational growth through strategic talent management, leadership development, culture transformation, workforce planning, and employee experience initiatives. Her appointment comes as FedEx continues to invest in building a future-ready workforce and enhancing organizational capabilities across its international operations.

Prior to assuming her expanded responsibilities, Rumana served as Vice President Human Resources APAC at FedEx, where she provided strategic HR leadership across the Asia-Pacific region.

Before joining FedEx, she spent nearly twenty-five years with British American Tobacco (BAT), building an extensive career across human resources leadership, talent management, organizational development, culture, and inclusion. Most recently, she served as Regional Head of HR Asia Pacific & Middle East, leading the people strategy across multiple markets and supporting business transformation initiatives throughout the region.

During her tenure at BAT, she also held the position of Regional Head of Talent, Culture and Inclusion Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, where she drove leadership development, talent strategies, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and culture transformation programs across a broad geographical footprint.

Earlier, she served as Head of HR in Bangladesh, overseeing the country’s people agenda and supporting organizational growth through talent development, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. She also held the role of Regional HR Planning & Reporting Manager for the Asia-Pacific region and worked across various HR positions spanning talent management, compensation and benefits, and HR business partnering.

Rumana Rahman completed The Mastered Program in Executive and Leadership Coaching from Meyler Campbell in 2024.
