Chandigarh, Punjab, India, June 2026 — Chitkara University has appointed Jotbir S. Bhalla as Associate Director and Head – Talent Acquisition, reinforcing its commitment to attracting top talent and building a future-ready workforce across academic and non-academic functions.
In his new role, Jotbir will lead talent acquisition initiatives across the university, with a focus on strategic hiring, stakeholder management, employer branding, recruitment process excellence, and enhancing candidate experience. He will play a key role in strengthening the institution’s talent ecosystem and supporting its continued growth and academic excellence agenda.
Prior to joining Chitkara University, Jotbir served as Founder and Director of Deploi Business Services, where he led executive search and recruitment consulting assignments for organizations across industries. He worked closely with enterprises, startups, and global brands to deliver leadership hiring, workforce planning, talent acquisition strategy, and employer branding solutions.
Earlier, he founded and led Coventix Business Solutions, a talent acquisition and HR services organization focused on helping fast-growing companies build high-performing teams. During his tenure, he also supported clients in establishing Centers of Excellence and developing sustainable talent pipelines.
Before his entrepreneurial journey, Jotbir served as Talent Acquisition Head at CARS24, where he spearheaded large-scale hiring initiatives during a period of rapid business expansion. He played a pivotal role in scaling talent acquisition capabilities, optimizing recruitment costs, and building innovative hiring models to support the company’s growth.
He also spent more than a decade with Centum Learning as Head Talent Acquisition, leading end-to-end recruitment strategies, leadership hiring, employer branding initiatives, workforce planning, and recruitment process transformation. Earlier in his career, he held human resources roles with Bharti Airtel and Spice Mobility, building a strong foundation in HR business partnering and talent management.
Jotbir S. Bhalla holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources (PGD-HR) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). He also earned an MBA in Human Resources from Guru Nanak Dev University.
