Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, June 2026 — Italtile Limited has appointed Marlene Badul as Group Human Resource Executive, strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to focus on talent development, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and workforce transformation across its operations.
In her new role, Marlene will lead the Group’s human resources strategy, overseeing people, culture, talent, leadership development, employee engagement, organizational capability, and workforce initiatives across Italtile’s retail, manufacturing, and supply chain businesses. Her appointment reflects the company’s commitment to building a high-performance culture that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Italtile, Marlene spent nearly fifteen years with DHL Supply Chain, where she held several senior human resources leadership positions across Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Most recently, she served as Vice President Talent, Learning & Development, and DEIB Centre of Excellence for the EMEA region, leading strategic initiatives focused on talent management, leadership development, learning, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging across multiple markets.
Earlier, she served as Head of HR Africa and HR Director South Africa at DHL Supply Chain, where she was responsible for a workforce of approximately 6,000 employees and led a human resources team of 30 professionals. During her tenure, she partnered with business leaders to drive workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, talent development, and people transformation initiatives.
She also held HR leadership roles supporting Life Sciences, Healthcare, Technology, Automotive, Transport, and Control Tower operations, building broad experience across diverse business sectors and operational environments.
Before joining DHL Supply Chain, Marlene worked as a Psychometrist with Siyeluleka Consulting, conducting psychometric assessments and talent evaluations for corporate clients. Earlier in her career, she served as Sales and Marketing Manager at Damelin, gaining experience in business operations, customer engagement, and organizational leadership.
With extensive experience spanning talent management, leadership development, learning, DEIB, organizational development, workforce transformation, and strategic human resources leadership, Marlene brings a wealth of expertise to her new role at Italtile.
