Gurugram, Haryana, India, November 2025 — BharatPe, one of India’s fastest-growing fintech companies, has announced the appointment of Shilpi Kapoor as Marketing Head. With over 20 years of experience spanning global and Indian brands, Shilpi brings a wealth of expertise in marketing strategy, brand management, and digital transformation. Prior to joining BharatPe, Shilpi served as Chief Marketing Officer at Airtel Payments Bank, where she spearheaded transformative campaigns such as “The Safe Digital Account” and “A New Way to Pay”, significantly enhancing the bank’s digital-first brand visibility and customer engagement. Her tenure was marked by a strong focus on driving trust, convenience, and adoption across India’s expanding digital payments ecosystem.

Before Airtel Payments Bank, Shilpi held key leadership roles at American Express, where she directed marketing and business insights for the JAPA region. She conceptualized and executed the award-winning “Don’t Live Life Without It” campaign, strengthening the brand’s emotional connection with both consumers and merchants. Her strategic approach combined data-driven insights with creative excellence to drive measurable business outcomes across diverse markets.

Earlier in her career, Shilpi served as Head of Marketing Communication at Groupe Renault, where she led the successful launch of Renault KWID, one of India’s most iconic automotive campaigns, which helped the brand enter India’s top five carmakers within months. She also played pivotal marketing roles at Godfrey Phillips India Limited, Bharti Airtel, The Coca-Cola Company, and UB Group, consistently demonstrating her ability to build compelling brand narratives and deliver impactful results.

At BharatPe, Shilpi will be instrumental in strengthening the company’s marketing architecture, enhancing consumer engagement, and shaping brand perception as BharatPe continues to expand its product portfolio and deepen merchant relationships across India.

About BharatPe
BharatPe was founded in 2018 with the vision of making financial inclusion a reality for Indian merchants. It pioneered India’s first UPI interoperable QR code and zero MDR payment acceptance service, later launching BharatSwipe, the nation’s first zero MDR card acceptance terminal. Serving over 1 million merchants across 400+ cities, BharatPe is a leader in UPI offline transactions, processing an annualized transaction value of US$ 26 billion. The company has facilitated loans worth over ₹10,000 crore to merchants and is backed by global investors such as Tiger Global, Dragoneer Investment Group, Coatue Management, and Sequoia Capital (now Peak XV Partners).
