In his new role, Salil Chari will oversee FedEx’s operations across the Asia Pacific region, leading strategic direction, operational performance, and customer experience for the business. He will be responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth while strengthening FedEx’s market position across diverse and high-growth APAC economies.

Salil brings more than three decades of professional experience spanning global logistics, marketing, and customer experience leadership. He has spent over 28 years with FedEx, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – Marketing and Customer Experience for Asia Pacific, where he played a central role in shaping commercial strategy, advancing customer-centric initiatives, and driving regional expansion. His leadership has been instrumental in strengthening brand positioning, pricing strategy, revenue management, and customer experience operations across the region.

Prior to this, Salil held several senior leadership roles within FedEx across Asia Pacific and MEISA, steadily expanding his scope across marketing, strategy, product development, analytics, and commercial growth. Earlier in his career, he began his professional journey at Procter & Gamble as a Product Development Analyst, where he developed a strong foundation in analytical thinking, product strategy, and disciplined execution.

This appointment reflects FedEx’s commitment to cultivating experienced internal leaders with deep regional and institutional knowledge. Under Salil Chari’s leadership, the Asia Pacific region is expected to play an increasingly critical role in FedEx’s global growth strategy, with a continued emphasis on operational excellence, innovation, and superior customer outcomes.
