New York, United States, November 2025 — Gabrielle Frawley has started a new position as the Chief Human Resources Officer at TIAA, further strengthening the leadership team of one of the most respected financial services organizations in the United States. In this pivotal role, she will shape enterprise-wide people strategy, leadership development, and cultural advancement for a company committed to financial security for millions across education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors.
Gabrielle Frawley joins TIAA after an exceptional 13+ year tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she most recently served as HR Executive, Managing Director, and Head of HR for Consumer and Community Banking Operations—a function supporting a global workforce of nearly 40,000 employees. Her strategic leadership across operations, organizational capability, and people systems positioned her as one of the firm’s most influential HR leaders.
Before this, she served as Head of HR for Consumer Branch Banking and Wealth Management, where she led human capital strategy for more than 4,800 branches and 45,000 employees across the United States. Her work shaped the talent strategy for one of the country’s largest and most distributed retail banking organizations.
Earlier, she served as Senior HR Business Partner and Head of HR for CCB Digital, Marketing & Communications, and Learning, supporting digital transformation and strategic workforce initiatives. She also completed a six-month assignment as CAO for the Head of HR, where she partnered closely with senior leadership during a key transition period.
Her journey at JPMorgan Chase began as Desert Mountain Regional HR Business Partner, where she supported Chase Wealth Management and Consumer Banking across major U.S. markets. This role established her strong foundation in multi-market people leadership.
Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Frawley spent nearly six years at UBS Financial Services, where she held roles as Human Resource Manager, HR Project Manager, and Human Resources Analyst. Her work during this period strengthened her capabilities in HR operations, project management, analytics, and strategic workforce support.
As part of her academic foundation, Frawley earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, one of the world’s leading institutions for HR and labor studies—further grounding her expertise in workforce strategy and organizational behavior.
