Auckland, New Zealand — Texel Air Australasia has announced the appointment of Greg Bishop as its new Chief Executive Officer. Bishop, a seasoned leader in aviation and business management, began his tenure this April, bringing over four decades of diverse experience to the helm of the recently launched cargo airline.
His extensive background includes pivotal roles across several industries, notably as a Partner at KPMG New Zealand, where he spent 34 years refining his expertise in financial and strategic business management.
Prior to joining Texel Air, Bishop served as a director at Search and Rescue Services Ltd, demonstrating his capability to oversee critical operations and strategic planning. His leadership tenure also extends to his role on the board of the Life Flight Trust, underscoring his commitment to service and community contribution.
Bishop’s career began at Inland Revenue New Zealand, where he honed his analytical skills. His subsequent roles at O’Connor Grieve and Touche Ross as an Analyst and Manager respectively, further developed his tax and financial advisory acumen, laying a strong foundation for his later strategic positions in the aviation and rescue service sectors.
