Istanbul, Türkiye, August 2024 – Gül Bulem YILMAZ has begun her new role as Head of People & Communications at Sisal Digital Hub Türkiye. In this position, Gül will be responsible for overseeing the company’s HR and communication strategies, focusing on talent development, employee engagement, and internal communications to support Sisal’s growing business.

Gül brings over two years of experience at Sisal Digital Hub Türkiye, where she previously served as Human Resources Manager. In this role, she managed various HR functions, including organizational development and employee relations, helping to shape a positive work environment.

Before joining Sisal, Gül spent over five years at Merlin Entertainments as a Cluster HR Manager in Istanbul. She was responsible for HR operations at several iconic attractions, including LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre, Madame Tussauds, and SEA LIFE Istanbul. Her role involved talent management, employee engagement, and ensuring a memorable experience for both employees and visitors.

Gül’s early career includes key HR roles at Akbank, ING Bank Turkey, and HSBC. At Akbank, she served as an HR Organizational Development Assistant Manager, where she played a crucial role in developing organizational strategies and improving HR processes. At ING Bank Turkey, Gül was an Organization Specialist, focusing on HR, brand management, and communications. Her tenure at HSBC spanned multiple roles, including HR Generalist and Learning Solutions Specialist, where she contributed to learning and development initiatives and organizational planning.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
