Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, June 2026 — Adobe has appointed Gunjan Pradhan as Director Payments, JAPAC, bringing onboard a highly accomplished payments and fintech leader with nearly two decades of experience spanning digital payments, product strategy, payment partnerships, regulatory engagement, commerce innovation, and market expansion across the Asia-Pacific region.
In her new role, Pradhan will lead payment strategy and operations across the Japan and Asia-Pacific (JAPAC) region, helping Adobe deliver seamless, secure, and customer-centric payment experiences. Her appointment comes at a time when digital commerce and payment innovation continue to play a critical role in enabling customer growth and enhancing digital experiences across global markets.
Prior to joining Adobe, Pradhan spent eight years at Netflix, where she held leadership positions including Director Payments (India, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand) and Payments Head (India, South Asia, Australia and New Zealand). During her tenure, she was instrumental in building and scaling Netflix’s payments infrastructure across multiple markets, overseeing end-to-end payments strategy, regulatory compliance, payment optimization, and customer experience initiatives. She played a key role in launching card and UPI subscription payment solutions in India and worked closely with regulators, payment networks, issuers, and acquirers to strengthen the digital payments ecosystem.
A recognized industry leader, Pradhan also co-founded the Merchant Payments Alliance of India (MPAI) and served as its Technical Committee Head, helping foster collaboration among merchants, regulators, financial institutions, and payment networks. Her contributions to recurring payments advocacy, regulatory engagement, and payment innovation have had a meaningful impact on the evolution of India’s digital payments landscape.
Before Netflix, Pradhan held leadership roles at PayU, where she served as Associate Director of Sales and Category Head – E-commerce, leading business development, product commercialization, payment partnerships, and go-to-market strategies. Earlier, she worked with Citrus Pay, one of India’s pioneering digital payments companies, where she helped accelerate merchant adoption and strengthen acquiring partnerships during a formative period in India’s fintech ecosystem.
Pradhan began her professional journey with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), where she held various sales and operations management positions. Her career also includes consulting assignments with Pfizer Australia and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, providing her with a broad perspective on strategy, stakeholder management, and business transformation. Her extensive experience across fintech, digital commerce, payments infrastructure, and regulatory engagement positions her strongly to lead Adobe’s payments agenda across the JAPAC region.
