Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 — Haimonti Moitra has started a new position as General Manager & Head Products – Digital at SMFG India Credit, marking a significant elevation in her digital banking and product leadership journey. In this expanded role, Haimonti will lead digital product strategy, innovation, customer experience, and business growth initiatives across SMFG India Credit’s evolving financial services ecosystem.
Haimonti has been with SMFG India Credit for over four years, most recently serving as SVP & Head – Digital Products, where she played a crucial role in strengthening digital product capabilities, driving strategic product initiatives, and supporting the company’s broader digital transformation agenda. Her promotion reflects her strong leadership in product management, digital innovation, and customer-centric financial solutions.
Before joining SMFG India Credit, Haimonti served as VP & Product Head – Digital Lending at Aditya Birla Finance Limited, where she built standalone digital product teams, managed multiple digital lending business lines, oversaw alliances and partnerships, and supported compliance, platform transformation, and product P&L management.
Earlier, Haimonti spent nearly 13 years with DCB Bank, where she progressed through multiple leadership roles across digital banking, alternate channels, and product management. Her work included launching innovative products such as mobile banking platforms, Aadhaar-based ATMs, co-branded cards, BBPS, QR code payments, and digital banking channels, establishing her as a seasoned leader in India’s financial technology and digital banking landscape.
With nearly two decades of experience in banking, digital transformation, payments, lending, and product leadership, Haimonti brings exceptional strategic and operational expertise to her expanded role.
