Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, March 2025 – Hazel Thurlow has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Alinta Energy, where she will report to CEO & Managing Director Jeff Dimery and collaborate with the executive leadership team to drive people strategy, talent development, and cultural transformation. Hazel brings a wealth of expertise in HR leadership, organizational change, and post-merger integrations across diverse industries.
Before joining Alinta Energy, Hazel Thurlow was the Chief Human Resources Officer & Integration Director at ISPT, where she led enterprise strategy, cultural transformation, and organizational redesign for the $22B property investment company. Her leadership was instrumental in optimizing talent structures and successfully delivering the high-profile merger integration between ISPT and IFM Investors.

Prior to ISPT, Hazel was the Human Resources Director at Amplifon Australia, where she played a key role in cultural transformation and leadership development while integrating multiple acquisitions in the fast-growing healthcare sector. She was responsible for enhancing workforce capability and improving operational efficiency through HR-led initiatives.
Hazel also served as Executive General Manager, People & Culture at the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), where she led a post-merger transformation of three financial dispute resolution bodies into a single entity. Her efforts contributed to scaling the organization rapidly while strengthening its culture and performance.
Earlier in her career, Hazel held various HR leadership roles at Bupa, ME Bank, and PeopleScout APAC, where she focused on organizational development, leadership coaching, and HR innovation. Her expertise in people strategy, M&A integration, and large-scale workforce transformation has been pivotal in driving sustained business success.
