Charleston, South Carolina, United States, December 2024 – Heather King has joined Boeing as Chief Talent Management Officer. In her new role, Heather will drive the company’s global talent strategy, focusing on fostering innovation, building a robust talent pipeline, and aligning workforce initiatives with Boeing’s mission to lead the aerospace industry through sustainability and innovation.
Heather brings a wealth of experience in talent management, leadership development, and organizational strategy. Prior to joining Boeing, she held multiple strategic leadership roles at Walmart, including VP Transform & Enable, Global Talent & Learning, where she spearheaded the development of an enterprise-wide talent ecosystem underpinned by data and technology. Her achievements included designing transformative strategies for talent and leadership development.
As VP Walmart Academy, Chief Learning Officer, Heather centralized learning efforts across Walmart’s 2 million+ associates, launching initiatives that prioritized leadership, culture, and skills development. Earlier, she served as VP Learning Innovations & Operations, leading the design of Walmart’s Academy campus to meet the future needs of learning and development.
Before Walmart, Heather held key talent management roles at Schlumberger, including Head of Global Talent Management & Strategic Workforce Planning, where she modernized talent processes and implemented leadership development programs, and Group Director of Recruitment, Training, and Development at Cameron, a Schlumberger company, managing global talent acquisition and development cycles.
Heather’s career also includes senior roles at Aker Solutions, where she led strategic workforce planning, and Gabbard & Company, focusing on organizational development and change management.
Heather earned her MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma – Price College of Business, where she cultivated a strong foundation in innovative business strategies and leadership.
