Zurich, Switzerland, August 2025 – Heike Virmond has been appointed as Chief People Officer, Managing Director, and Member of the Board of Directors at ThomasLloyd Group, a global leader in clean energy and sustainable technology. In this new role, Virmond will oversee global people strategy, organizational development, and governance, further strengthening ThomasLloyd’s mission to advance the energy transition and build a net-zero world.
Virmond most recently served as Chief People Officer at Kitopi, where she successfully scaled people and culture operations across multiple regions, building a strong organizational foundation for growth. She also worked at gategroup as Chief People Officer and Global Vice President, People, Culture & HR (HQ), where she guided the organization through one of its most challenging crises during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Her global HR leadership also includes her tenure at Netflix, where she led HR across EMEA, driving organizational design, governance, leadership development, and compensation strategies, while supporting office expansions in Paris, Madrid, Berlin, and Rome.
Earlier, Virmond spent over eight years at COFRA Holding AG, where she designed and built a group-wide HR function and strategy, launched engagement programs for 35,000 employees, and advised on governance and succession planning for a multigenerational family business. She began her career as a Project Leader at Bain & Company, focusing on strategy, growth, and organizational transformation across industries and geographies.
Beyond corporate leadership, Virmond has been actively engaged as a Board Member at the Swiss Impact Investment Association, a Member at The Boardroom, and a Teaching Fellow at the University of St. Gallen and Zurich School of Management, contributing her expertise in sustainable leadership, CSR, and governance.
