The Woodlands, Texas — Fortifi Food Processing Solutions proudly announces the appointment of Hernán Rein as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, effective May 1, 2024. With over two decades of HR leadership experience, Rein is set to drive Fortifi’s human resource strategy, aligning it closely with the company’s expansive goals.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Universidad de Buenos Aires and an MBA from INSEAD. Rein is based at Fortifi’s global headquarters in The Woodlands, Tex., poised to enrich the company’s culture and talent pool.
Prior to joining Fortifi, Rein served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at PerkinElmer, where he led a global team from September 2023 to April 2024, focusing on enhancing HR practices and fostering a supportive corporate culture remotely from Houston, Texas.
Before his tenure at PerkinElmer, Rein held several senior HR positions at Vopak, a Dutch multinational. As Executive Vice President of Human Resources & Communication, Rein was pivotal in steering the company through significant transformations including energy transition and digital shifts, from March 2020 until September 2023 in Rotterdam, South Holland.
Rein also played a key role as HR, Communication and Legal Director for the Americas at Vopak, where from May 2013 to March 2020, he oversaw extensive mergers and acquisitions and implemented a comprehensive HR IT system, significantly optimizing the HR landscape across multiple markets.
Rein’s extensive experience includes high-impact roles at Schneider Electric and Techint Group, where he led major HR initiatives that shaped the companies’ strategic directions and enhanced their global HR frameworks. His efforts have consistently focused on talent management, employee engagement, and navigating complex labor relations across various continents.
