London, United Kingdom, May 2026 — Hitachi Digital Services has appointed Sankar Venkatraman as Senior Vice President and Global Head of Enterprise Applications, strengthening its enterprise modernization and digital transformation leadership with an accomplished executive bringing more than three decades of experience across global IT transformation, cloud, ERP modernization, and enterprise applications.
In his new role, Sankar will lead Hitachi Digital Services’ global enterprise applications portfolio, driving strategic modernization initiatives across ERP, cloud platforms, AI-enabled enterprise systems, and digital business transformation for global enterprises.
Prior to joining Hitachi Digital Services, Sankar served as Principal Architect at solutions by stc in Saudi Arabia, where he worked closely with enterprise C-suite leaders to design IT roadmaps, AI solutions, digital platforms, and large-scale transformation programs for banking, smart cities, transportation, and public sector organizations.
Earlier, as Senior Vice President at DETASAD, he led digital business, cloud, IoT, cybersecurity, SAP, and enterprise IT transformation initiatives, managing major P&L responsibilities and enterprise-scale technology modernization.
Sankar also spent nearly a decade at Wipro, where he held multiple senior global leadership roles including Vice President, Cloud Enterprise Platform, overseeing a $500M+ business portfolio across enterprise applications, process transformation, and modernization. His career additionally includes leadership positions at Mphasis, HCL Technologies, Wipro Technologies, Satyam Computer Services, and PwC, where he built extensive expertise in SAP, Oracle, IT transformation, and enterprise consulting.
