Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, March 2025 – Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) has named Saunak Gupta as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) following the retirement of Prem Khandelwal, who served the company in finance leadership roles for two decades. Gupta’s extensive financial expertise and strategic acumen position him well to drive IMFA’s growth and long-term financial objectives.
Saunak Gupta joined IMFA in 2023 as Vice President & Deputy Chief Financial Officer, where he played a key role in financial planning, treasury management, and strategic initiatives. His contributions helped shape the company’s financial strategies, leading to his recent promotion as CFO.

Before joining IMFA, Gupta spent nearly eight years at Blue Star Limited as Senior General Manager – Finance & Accounts, where he led corporate finance, taxation, and financial controls, strengthening the company’s financial structure.
Gupta also held a 10-year tenure at Wipro Limited, serving as Head of Finance & Commercial, overseeing financial strategy, cost management, and commercial operations. His experience at ABP Group as Senior Manager and Berger Paints India as Assistant Manager – Finance provided him with deep industry insights into corporate finance, compliance, and strategic financial planning.
Gupta began his career at PwC, where he developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, auditing, and regulatory compliance. With over 26 years of experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge across multiple industries.
