Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, August 2024 – Jeff Jones has joined Irving Shipbuilding as the Director, Human Resources, Centres of Expertise. In this role, Jeff will lead the HR Centers of Expertise groups, focusing on areas such as Talent & Performance, Compensation, Organizational Design, and Talent Acquisition. He will work closely with the team to enhance capabilities and drive HR strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
Prior to joining Irving Shipbuilding, Jeff Jones was with TELUS for over two years, where he served as the Program Engagement & Delivery, Transformation Programs & Sr Consultant, Compensation. At TELUS, he played a key role in modernizing and redesigning career levels and salary frameworks, while ensuring compliance with Federal Pay Equity legislation.
Before TELUS, Jeff spent over seven years at RBC, where he held various roles, including Senior Manager, HR Portfolio Strategy and Senior Manager, Insight & Thought Leadership (Employee Experience). During his time at RBC, he led significant HR initiatives such as redesigning the employee listening strategy and driving enterprise learning portfolios.
Jeff also has experience in teaching and consulting, having worked as a Part-time Teaching Faculty at Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning and providing HR and learning consulting services.
