Mexico, September 2024 – Juan Pablo Hernández Segovia has been appointed as the Head of People and Culture at Harbour Energy. In his new role, Juan Pablo will lead the efforts to enhance organizational culture and people strategies, aligning them with Harbour Energy’s corporate goals and operational needs.
Before joining Harbour Energy, Juan Pablo Hernández Segovia served as Vice President of Human Resources at Wintershall Dea for nearly six years, where he was instrumental in defining and executing the local HR strategy in alignment with the corporate function. His leadership was crucial in managing resource planning, succession planning, and the development and implementation of local HR policies and guidelines.
Prior to this, he held the role of HR Manager, Payroll and Labor Relations at Axalta Coating Systems for a year, managing strategic HR operations for two plants and three distribution centers. In this role, he was responsible for labor relations, performance management, and overseeing the payroll process, including Sox compliance. His strategic initiatives included restructuring operations and leading successful union negotiations.
Juan Pablo also excelled as Regional Sales Manager at Axalta Coating Systems, where he managed a significant distribution channel and successfully executed sales strategies that recovered 80% of lost sales in key regions.
His earlier roles include Brand Manager & Strategic Planning – Latin America at Axalta, where he led the launch of the Cromax Brand across multiple countries, significantly boosting sales and market share.
Juan Pablo‘s career in HR began at DuPont, where he held various roles over nine years, culminating in his position as Human Resource Manager at the Altamira Plant. Here, he was a strategic partner in managing comprehensive HR functions, achieving notable improvements in plant productivity and labor relations.
