Julie Pierce has officially joined Cabaletta Bio as the new Director of Human Resources. Pierce’s comprehensive career spans significant roles and considerable expertise, particularly in the realms of strategic HR planning and diversity management.
Prior to this role, Pierce served as the Vice President of People at MaestroQA for two years, where she was instrumental in defining the company’s core values and operating principles. This role also included the management of a wide range of HR functions such as performance management, recruitment, and compensation strategies. Her initiatives at MaestroQA were well-received, significantly enhancing employee engagement and organizational culture.
Before her tenure at MaestroQA, Pierce was the Chief Diversity Officer at York College of the City University of New York from May 2016 to August 2021. In this capacity, she led diversity compliance initiatives and developed recruitment strategies aimed at fostering an inclusive atmosphere for over 6500 students and 800 staff members.
Earlier in her career, Pierce practiced as an Attorney at Law, focusing on labor and employment matters, and also provided outsourced HR administrative services. Her breadth of experience over more than a decade also includes roles that emphasized employee relations, organizational development, and strategic HR leadership across various industries.
