With extensive experience in capability development, performance management, and organizational development, Kamlesh brings a wealth of expertise to support Amneal’s mission to provide affordable access to essential medicines and enhance the company’s overall performance through strategic learning initiatives.
Kamlesh Joshi joins Amneal Pharmaceuticals after a tenure of approximately 8 years and 8 months at Holcim, where he served as the Head of Capability Development and Performance Management for Asia. In this role, he established a world-class learning and development system for talent and capability development, managed the regional manufacturing support organization for South Asia, and implemented best practices in manufacturing training across Indian operating companies such as ACC Limited and Ambuja Cement Ltd.
Prior to Holcim, Kamlesh was the Head of Technical Training and Capability Development PAN India at Ambuja Cements Limited for about 3 years and 2 months. He developed corporate L&D strategies linking training with business results, integrated technical training for ACC and Ambuja Cement at the national level, and set up multiple technical training institutes.
Kamlesh also held the role of Head of Business Development Planning & Coordination at Ambuja Cements for approximately 10 months, where he managed annual financial budgets, production planning, and sustainability initiatives. He was instrumental in tracking plant performance indices and leading cost optimization projects.
Earlier in his career, Kamlesh served as the Sr. Coach for Manufacturing Excellence – People Power at Ambuja Cements, where he implemented performance dialogues, root cause analysis, and various lean management modules to drive improvement in plant performance. He also worked as the Deputy Head E&I at Ambuja Cements, completing multiple projects on plant control system upgrades and preventive maintenance.
Kamlesh’s career began with roles such as Automation Head at Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Limited and Project & Maintenance In-charge at Saurashtra Cement Limited, where he managed greenfield project erection, commissioning, and control system upgrades.
