Houston, Texas, United States, July 2024 – Karey DeVries has started her new role as the Senior Director of Human Resources at Saber Power, marking an exciting new chapter in her professional journey.
Karey DeVries brings a wealth of experience in human resources to her new position. Prior to joining Saber Power, she served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at TRC Companies, Inc. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing HR functions, including policy creation, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, and strategic staffing. Her tenure at TRC Companies lasted nearly two years.
Before TRC, Karey had an extensive career at Dashiell Corporation, where she spent over eleven years. She progressed from the role of Human Resources Manager to Director of Human Resources. Her responsibilities included managing policy creation, labor relations, benefits administration, compensation planning, and training and development. She was instrumental in handling various HR functions and implementing effective HR strategies.
Karey’s career also includes a brief stint as a Human Resources Business Partner at LyondellBasell. She managed HR functions at the company’s Channelview site, overseeing succession planning, performance management, organizational design, and strategic staffing. Additionally, she played a key role in a significant hiring campaign.
Earlier in her career, Karey served as a Human Resources Supervisor at Penreco, where she managed HR functions for the Dickinson plant site and The Woodlands corporate office. She was involved in contract negotiations, grievance procedures, benefits administration, and community outreach. Her efforts in recruiting and selection methodology led to better-qualified candidate pools and faster hiring decisions.
Karey’s career began with roles such as Labor Relations Partner at IUOE Local 347 & 564 and EEO & Employee Relations Supervisor at Farmers Insurance, where she developed a strong foundation in HR functions, labor relations, and compliance.
