As part of its renewed leadership model in India, Nokia has appointed two senior leaders to further strengthen its presence in the country and sharpen its business focus.

Samar Mittal, as India Country Business Leader, will be responsible for executing Nokia’s go-to-market strategy in India and shaping its strategic direction with telecommunication providers, AI and cloud providers, and mission critical enterprises. He will focus on deepening relationships with Nokia’s strategic partners in India, capturing new growth opportunities, and aligning Nokia’s portfolio and execution with the evolving needs of the Indian market.

Vibha Mehra, as India Country Manager, will lead and deepen Nokia’s strategic presence in the country. She will drive the company’s communications strategy, spearhead government relations, and strengthen external and public relations. She will also shape the India site strategy, advance the people agenda, and steer corporate social responsibility (CSR) priorities, ensuring Nokia is widely recognized in India as a responsible, trusted, and respected technology leader.

Prior to this appointment, Samar served as Vice President at Nokia, where he most recently led the Cloud and Network Services business across the Middle East and Africa region. With close to three decades of experience in telecom and IT, he has held multiple sales leadership roles at Nokia, based in India, Malaysia, and Dubai.

Prior to this appointment, Vibha served as Vice President for Government Relations at Nokia, where she led the company’s geopolitics and government relations function across the Asia Pacific region. She has over 26 years of rich and diverse experience across organizations such as Microsoft, Intel, and TCS.

Together, the two leaders will steer Nokia’s presence and impact in India. They will work closely to advance the company’s strategic priorities and contribute to its purpose of advancing connectivity to secure a brighter world.

This renewed leadership model reflects Nokia’s long-term commitment to India and its ambition to play a leading role in shaping a more digital, sustainable, and efficient future for the country.
