Toronto, Ontario, Canada, June 2024 – Katie Rogers has been named the new Vice President, People – National Retail at Walmart Canada. Katie brings extensive experience in human resources and change management, making her well-suited to lead the company’s people strategy for its national retail operations.
Katie Rogers has been with Walmart Canada for over eight years, holding various key positions within the organization. Prior to her current role, she served as the Vice President, Regional People Business Partner for approximately two years. In this role, Katie was instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that supported regional business goals and enhanced employee engagement.
Before that, Katie was the Director, People Business Partner for nearly two years. She was responsible for overseeing HR functions and partnering with business leaders to drive organizational effectiveness and foster a positive workplace culture.
Katie also held the position of Director Change Management for around four years, where she led change initiatives across the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption of new processes and systems.
Before joining Walmart Canada, Katie worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for almost eight years as a Manager, People and Change. At PwC, she managed various HR and change management projects, helping clients improve their HR operations and successfully navigate organizational changes.
Earlier in her career, Katie was a Consultant at Managerial Design for nearly five years, where she provided HR consulting services to a range of clients, focusing on organizational design and development.
Katie’s career began at Concentra, where she worked as a Workflow Coordinator for approximately one year, managing workflow processes and supporting operational efficiency.
