Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas, United States, June 2026 — Worth Credit Union has appointed Katie Turner-Carr as its new Chief People Officer (CPO). In her new role, Katie will lead the organization’s people strategy, organizational development, and culture initiatives, helping to shape a high-performing, people-first workplace that supports the credit union’s continued growth and member-focused mission.
Katie brings more than two decades of leadership experience in human resources, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and executive advisory roles. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation for strengthening teams, developing scalable people strategies, and supporting leaders in creating inclusive, high-performing organizations.
Prior to joining Worth Credit Union, Katie spent nearly 14 years at GM Financial, where she held a series of progressively senior leadership positions. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, Global HR Strategy, Organizational Effectiveness & Chief of Staff, advising executive leadership on enterprise people strategy and overseeing organizational effectiveness initiatives for a global workforce of approximately 9,000 employees. During her tenure, she led multi-year HR transformation initiatives, established the company’s first People Analytics capability, redesigned enterprise performance management frameworks, and built scalable career and job architecture models.
Earlier at GM Financial, Katie served as Vice President, Global Head of Talent Development & Organizational Capability, leading leadership systems, succession planning, talent architecture, culture, and employee experience initiatives during a period of global growth and transformation. She also held the position of Assistant Vice President, Leadership and Organizational Development, where she developed leadership, performance, and HR technology infrastructure that supported rapid organizational expansion.
Before GM Financial, Katie was Global Program Manager and Senior Representative for High-Potential Employee Development Programs at Flowserve, where she led HR operating model redesign initiatives and strengthened succession pipelines for manufacturing and commercial leaders. Earlier in her career, she held leadership and organizational development roles with Brink’s Home Security, Broadview, ADT, and MCI, gaining extensive experience in leadership development, organizational transformation, cross-border operations, and M&A integration.
Her appointment reflects Worth Credit Union’s commitment to investing in its people, strengthening organizational capabilities, and fostering a culture where employees and members can thrive. Katie’s leadership is expected to play an instrumental role in shaping the organization’s culture, supporting employee development, and enhancing the overall member experience.
